Terms & Condition

• Money-Back Guarantee: Applies to diamonds under 1.20 carats, F color or better, and VS1 clarity or above. The diamond must be returned within 14 days in its original condition, with all certifications.
• Exclusions: Diamonds 1.20 carats or above, customized settings, and altered diamonds are not eligible for the guarantee.
• RM300 Fee: A RM300 fee applies to cover the cost of removing the diamond and returning it to the supplier.
• Condition: The diamond and all original certifications must be returned in perfect condition.
• Refund: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days after receiving the diamond.

For your peace of mind, every piece of jewellery purchased from Tailored Jewel is guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects.

Coverage

• If you suspect a production flaw, you may bring your jewellery to us for evaluation.
• If the damage is due to a fault during production, we will rework or remake the jewellery free of charge. If the piece is no longer in stock, we may offer a full refund or a replacement of equal or greater value.
• If the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, we will inform you of possible repair services and associated costs.

Validity

• Diamond engagement/wedding rings and fine jewellery: 10 years from the date of receipt.
• Silver-based or gold vermeil jewellery: 1 year from the date of receipt.

Exclusions

• The warranty is void if the jewellery is serviced, modified, or altered by anyone other than Tailored Jewel.
• The warranty does not cover:
  • Damage, scratches, discoloration of metal, or skin reactions due to normal use or exposure to chemicals, cosmetics, swimming pools, or bathing.
  • Wear and tear of prongs and metal, or damage from trauma or excessive use.
  • Loss or theft of jewellery.
  • Damage to or loss of certified diamonds, gemstones, or loose diamonds and gemstones valued over MYR 100.00 / SGD 30.00.
• Small side diamonds: The warranty is limited to 2 years. If these diamonds become loose due to a manufacturing defect, Tailored Jewel will cover all costs, including material and labor. After 2 years, Tailored Jewel will continue to provide free labor under the 10-year warranty, but material costs will be the customer’s responsibility. Note: This warranty excludes diamonds certified by GIA and IGI.

The quality of our work and the integrity of the stones we use are guaranteed. This certificate affirms that your jewellery’s diamonds and gemstones were delivered in accordance with the terms of the sales proposal.

Ethical Sourcing: We are dedicated to ensuring ethical trade practices. All of our diamonds are sourced from reputable suppliers who adhere to and enforce the Kimberley Process guidelines.

Certified Diamonds & Gemstones

• Diamonds 0.30 carats or larger will include certificates from recognized organizations such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The certification inscription on the diamond will be available for inspection at pickup or shared via photo or video if shipped.
• Certified gemstones (e.g., GIA or American Gem Society [AGS]) will come with their respective certificates. The gemstone will match the certificate’s description in shape, dimensions, carat weight, color, clarity, cut, and other attributes.

Non-Certified Diamonds & Gemstones

• Loose diamonds and gemstones are guaranteed to match the description in the sales proposal or quote in terms of form, carat weight, color, clarity, and cut.

Metals

• Gold & Platinum: Your jewellery will be stamped with our logo and a metal mark indicating the metal’s fineness (minimum purity), as per the Hong Kong Trade Ordinance.
  • 14K Metal Mark: Indicates gold fineness of at least 585 (58.5% gold).
  • 18K Metal Mark: Indicates gold fineness of at least 750 (75% gold).
  • PT950 Stamp: Guarantees a platinum purity of at least 950 (95% platinum).
• Our white gold alloy is nickel-free, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin.

For a refund, the item must be in its original condition, with no visible signs of damage, wear, or alteration. It should be returned with its original packaging and all included components (such as certificates and gifts).

Tailored Jewel reserves the right to suspend return processing if these conditions are not met.
